Frequently Asked Questions

Q) How long does it take before Broker Educational submits students to the state, CFP and/or CIMA?

A) Broker Educational Sales & Training, Inc. submits student scores (pass/fail) within one business day.

Q) Why can't I use my work computer via VPN, but my personal PC at home accesses the website just fine?

A) Most corporate networks will not allow a user to log in via VPN then access another network from there. Therefore, a user's home PC will allow the user to use the website, but a users work computer that allows access via VPN into the company's network will not work on our website due to the security protocols set in place on the user's workplace network.

Q) Why can't I use my CFP and IMCA CE for my state requirements?

A) CFP and IMCA allow for one credit hour per ten questions on the final exam and do not require a monitor. For continuing education credit, some states require monitored exams and some do not. Therefore, as a provider of CE, we cannot offer state credit on CFP and IMCA because of varying state monitoring requirements.

Q) Can a student print a certification?

A) Yes, sign into the active account, then navigate to Student Support, click on My Account and from there select Course Certificates. Next select Bullet Course, select View and then Print.

Q) Can I print Course material?

A) No, the student can request a PDF of the material by sending an email to Our Self-Study Department and requesting the course in the body of the email.

Q) Why am I being told I'm not authorized to take courses?

A) Navigate to Available Courses to purchase the desired courses. A "My Training" link will become available once classes have been purchased. (Note: The My Training section will only become fully accessible once a purchase has been made for the content.)

Q) How many times can I take the test if I fail?

A) Students may retake the final exam an unlimited number of times.

Q) Do I have to complete the exam when I start it?

A) Yes, the final exam must be completed in one sitting, your answers will not be saved. The Dept. of Insurance has determined that the final exam is not to be open book and therefore cannot be stopped and started. Chapter review questions, however, are saved and one can stop/start the review at their own pace.
